Lauren Hale, RN, BSN

Hey there! I'm Lauren, born and raised in Ohio. I grew up in the small town of Lexington and eventually moved to Columbus. During a mission trip to New Orleans, I met my future husband—one of those unexpected moments that changed everything. These days, I call West Des Moines, Iowa home, but I’ll always be a proud Ohio State Buckeye. I stay busy with my three kids and enjoy spending time outdoors, going to church, playing tennis and pickleball, tapping into my artistic side, and being with the people I care about most

Healthcare has always been my calling. I earned my Bachelor’s in Nursing from Ashland University in 2013, and I’m certified in BLS. I spent 8 years as an emergency department nurse at Grant Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center. From there, I worked as a float nurse, hopping between different hospitals and specialties, which gave me a well-rounded view of the healthcare field. When I moved to West Des Moines, I shifted gears to become a clinical liaison, working with patient transfers and learning more about the business side of healthcare and insurance.

In October 2022, my own health took a hit with a mysterious illness that had me stuck in bed for months, seeing doctors and going through tests, but with no clear answers. As a nurse, I knew how to advocate for myself, which led me to The Mayo Clinic for answers. This experience opened my eyes to the gaps in the healthcare system—poor communication, lack of guidance, and wrong directions. It was a tough time, but it gave me a new perspective on healthcare and a deep appreciation for what I do now. That’s why I started LahSET, to help others who are going through their own healthcare journeys with the support and guidance they need.

In addition to my nursing background, I am now a health coach. My mission is to help people take charge of their health through preventative care—empowering them to stay healthy, avoid illness, and live their best lives. I believe that proactive steps and personalized support can make all the difference in maintaining long-term well-being, and I’m here to guide others on that path
